A lot of Tinley Park basements were finished decades ago and look like it, paneling, drop ceilings, carpet that has done its time. Converting part of that dated space into a sealed cigar lounge is one of the best upgrades we build here, because the footprint already exists.
With one of the biggest housing stocks in the southwest suburbs, Tinley gives us everything from 80s tri-levels to newer sections with deep, dry foundations. We evaluate what you have, handle the permits, and quote the work line by line after a free in-home consultation.
It starts with a free in-home design consultation. We measure your basement, check moisture and mechanicals, and talk through how you want the space to live. You get a design and an itemized quote, we handle permits and inspections, and one team runs the build from the first cut to the final walkthrough. Most projects take 6 to 12 weeks of construction.
Yes, and it is common here. We open the dated finishes in the lounge area, build new sealed walls and a gasketed door, run a dedicated exhaust duct to the exterior with makeup air, and refinish to current standards. The rest of the basement can be refreshed in the same project or left alone.
Not in a properly built lounge. The room is sealed at every penetration and held under negative pressure by its own exhaust fan, so air moves into the lounge and out through the duct, never into the house. Your furnace and returns stay completely isolated from the lounge, which is the detail casual conversions miss.
It depends on size, finishes, and how much of the existing basement we touch, so we do not quote from the street. After the free in-home consultation you get an itemized quote showing the sealed room, ventilation, humidor, and finishes as separate lines. Financing is available on larger projects, and permits are handled by us.
Tell us about your basement and we will follow up within one business day to set up an in-home visit.
